Operator details, retention procedures, and hosting details require review before publication.
About Veto
These terms cover the Veto Discord bot and website at vetobot.app, including moderation, server protection, verification, reporting, and the configuration dashboard. Veto is an independent project and is not operated, endorsed, or verified by Discord merely because these terms are available.
Eligibility and permission
You must meet Discord's minimum age and the legal requirements applicable to your use. Where required, a parent or guardian must authorise your use. If you install or configure Veto for a server or organisation, you must have authority to do so. Use of Discord remains subject to Discord's own terms and community rules.
Individual operator
Veto is currently operated personally from Western Australia, Australia, by the individual identified in the operator details above, rather than by an incorporated company. References to Veto describe the service and project name; they do not imply that a separate company exists. Operator identification must be completed before these draft terms take effect.
Server administration and automated actions
Server administrators choose Veto's configuration and permissions. Depending on those settings, Veto can delete messages, change roles or channel permissions, restrict access, time out, kick, or ban members, and produce security and moderation records. Administrators are responsible for reviewing configuration, role hierarchy, and access to logging and review channels. Veto's detection rules and account-age checks can produce mistakes; they are signals for moderation, not proof of wrongdoing. Keep a way for members to contact moderators and challenge actions.
Acceptable use
Do not use Veto for unlawful activity, harassment, discrimination, doxxing, surveillance unrelated to server moderation, fraudulent reports, or collection or disclosure of information you are not entitled to use. Do not exploit vulnerabilities, bypass access controls or rate limits, steal credentials, interfere with the service, or use it contrary to Discord's developer rules. Report security problems privately to our contact address.
Reports, evidence, and appeals
Submit reports and evidence in good faith. Share only information needed for the case and which you are entitled to provide. Do not submit passwords, bot tokens, identity documents, or unrelated sensitive personal information. Relevant submissions may be shared with authorised Veto reviewers and recorded in investigation transcripts. Findings may be challenged through the available appeal command or our contact address. Server-specific moderation disputes should ordinarily go to that server's moderators first. Veto reporting is not a replacement for Discord's own reporting tools or emergency services.
Accounts and privacy
Keep your Discord account secure. Veto uses Discord authorisation for website sign-in and does not ask for your Discord password. Our Privacy Policy explains what information the service processes and how to request access, correction, or deletion. These terms do not replace that policy or override rights under applicable law.
Availability and changes
Veto depends on Discord, hosting, database, and security providers. Features may be changed, interrupted, restricted, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, detection of every threat, restoration of deleted content, or any particular moderation outcome. We may limit access to address abuse, security incidents, legal obligations, or violations of these terms. You can stop using the service and administrators can remove the bot; removing it alone does not delete existing records.
Plans and payments
No paid subscription or billing feature is currently implemented in this version. Any future paid service will need separate, clear pricing, cancellation, and refund information before purchase. These terms do not authorise future charges.
Ownership and submissions
Veto's name, artwork, and software remain subject to their owners' rights. You retain your rights in material you submit. You authorise processing and sharing only as needed to provide the requested service, handle reports, and fulfil the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. This does not grant Veto permission to sell your content or use it for unrelated purposes.
Liability and your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Veto is provided as available without additional promises about suitability or outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer guarantees, remedies, privacy rights, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This draft does not impose mandatory arbitration or a waiver of legal rights.
Australian consumers
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, its consumer guarantees and remedies apply despite any other provision of these terms. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified. References to service interruptions, availability, suspension, or changes do not remove those protections. Any future paid plan must also explain cancellation and refund arrangements consistently with applicable law.
Updates and contact
We will publish revisions here with an effective date and provide additional notice where required. Material changes apply prospectively and require any notice or consent required by law. Contact the operator using the address shown above for support, complaints, appeals, or questions about these terms.
